Vizag is gearing up for one of its most significant religious events — the annual Giri Pradakshina of Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy, to be held on July 9, 2025, at Simhachalam. This sacred ritual attracts thousands of devotees every year who undertake a 32-kilometer spiritual walk around the sacred Simhachalam hill.
The Pradakshina route starts from Tholipavancha, located at the foothills of Simhachalam. From there, the devout journey spans across important locations like Adavivaram, Hanumanthawaka, Madhavadhara, and Gopalapatnam, before returning to the temple. The path takes participants through scenic routes, forest paths, and city outskirts, symbolizing endurance, devotion, and blessings.
The Simhachalam Devasthanam authorities have already begun preparations for the smooth conduct of the event, including arrangements for drinking water, medical camps, security personnel, and lighting throughout the stretch. Special buses and parking facilities are also being planned for visiting devotees.
